‘He was dancing while walking’: Maharashtra minister Nitish Rane raises question on Saif Ali Khan stabbing | Mumbai News – The Times of India

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane on Tuesday questioned the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, expressing disbelief over his discharge from the hospital and suggesting that the incident might have been staged.

Rane accused leaders like Supriya Sule and Jitendra Awhad of showing concern only for Muslim actors and ignoring Hindu actors.
“Look at what Bangladeshis are doing in Mumbai. They entered Saif Ali Khan’s house. Earlier, they used to stand at the road crossings, but now they’ve started entering homes. Maybe he came to take him (Saif) away. It’s good, garbage should be taken away.”
Rane also raised questions on Saif Ali Khan’s quick recovery after being stabbed multiples by an intruder.
“When he came out of the hospital, I doubted whether he had been stabbed or if he was acting,” Rane said.
“He was dancing while walking. Whenever any Khan, like Shahrukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan, gets hurt, everyone starts talking about it. But when a Hindu actor like Sushant Singh Rajput is tortured, no one comes forward to say anything. That Mumbra’s Jeetuddin (Jitendra Awhad) and Baramati’s Tai (Supriya Sule) didn’t come forward to say anything. They are only worried about Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, and Nawab Malik. Have you ever seen them worrying about any Hindu artist. You should pay attention to all these things,” Rane added.
Saif Ali Khan stabbing case
Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, and returned home days after being stabbed by an intruder at his Bandra residence. The actor sustained multiple injuries, including a stab to his spine.
The investigation is still ongoing with the attacker in custody. A police officer explained that the accused, Shariful Islam Shehzad, “wanted to steal and escape” to Bangladesh with the stolen items to help his ailing mother. He randomly chose the actor’s residence for the crime. “He wanted to steal some money and escape to Bangladesh to help his mother. The crime was triggered after he lost his housekeeping job at a restaurant when its contract ended in December, leaving him nearly penniless,” the officer said.
