Elon Musk: ‘Twitter algorithm sucks; I want to talk to the manager right now’ – The Times of India

Elon Musk playfully ‘slammed’ the recommendation algorithm of social media platform X (earlier Twitter). In a post, the world’s richest man who owns the platform, humorously trashed Twitter’s algorithm and jokingly wrote that he would want to speak to the manager in charge immediately. This post comes after Musk’s hand gestures at Donald Trump’s inauguration sparked controversy online, with some comparing it to Nazi salutes.

What Musk said about X’s algorithm

Criticising X’s recommendation algorithm, Musk jokingly said: “If I see one more da*n Nazi salute in my feed, I’m gonna lose my mind 🤪 This algorithm sucks!!”

Later on, he also wrote: “The recommendation algorithm on this platform sucks! I want to talk to the manager right now!!”

However, this is not the first time that Musk has kinda disagreed with X’s recommendation algorithm.Earlier this month, Musk shared another post where he wrote: “Algorithm tweak coming soon to promote more informational/entertaining content. We will publish the changes to @XEng. Our goal is to maximize unregretted user-seconds. Too much negativity is being pushed that technically grows user time, but not unregretted user time.”

Replying to his post, Musk added: “We’re also working on easy ways for you to adjust the content feed dynamically, so you can have what you want at any given moment.”

What Musk said in defense of “Nazi salute” criticism

Musk has defended himself against criticism of his gesture at Trump’s oath-taking ceremony, dismissing claims of it being a “Nazi salute” as “dirty tricks.”

Replying to his critics, Musk wrote: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The “everyone is Hitler” attack is sooo tired 😴”
