NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to the United States beginning February 12, where he will hold wide-ranging discussions with US President Donald Trump, sources familiar with the matter confirmed on Monday, reported PTI.
This marks Modi’s first bilateral visit to Washington since Trump secured a second term in the White House. Notably, PM Modi will be among a select few foreign dignitaries to visit the US capital so soon after the new administration took office, signaling the strategic importance of Indo-US ties.
PM Modi’s US visit will come immediately after his two-day trip to Paris, underscoring India’s diplomatic balancing act between key global allies. While official details of the visit remain under wraps, discussions are expected to focus on trade, defense cooperation, and regional security, particularly in the Indo-Pacific.
