The joke says – “What is the difference between you and a circle? Neither of you has a Rekha.”
The joke is followed by Samay looking proud and Amitabh Bachchan bursting into laughter.
The truth behind the viral video
Considering there used to be rumors of an affair between Amitabh and Rekha in the 80s, it would have been not just risky but insensitive of the comedian to dare attempt a joke like this. A close look will make one observe that the visuals of Samay’s mouth are shown to be glitching when he ‘cracks the joke’. On the other hand, though Amitabh’s reaction clip is genuine, it can be stitched in from an unrelated part of the actual episode.
However, the editing or tweaking of the video has been done in such a clean way that it has led to confusion. Also, as aforementioned, this joke was not a part of the episode at all.
