NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday accused the Election Commission (EC) of refusing to share crucial polling data, prompting the party to launch its own website to make the information public.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter, saying, “EC has refused to upload Form 17C and the number of votes polled per booth in each assembly despite several requests.”

In response, AAP launched transparentelections.in, where it claims to have uploaded Form 17C for every assembly. This document contains details of votes polled in each booth.
“Throughout the day, we will present the data in a tabulated format so that every voter can access this information,” Kejriwal added.
Transparency vs EC’s silence
The party insists that publishing this data is the EC’s responsibility. “This is something the Election Commission should have done in the interest of transparency, but it is unfortunate that they are refusing to do it,” Kejriwal said.
The Election Commission has not yet responded to AAP’s allegations.
