Arti Singh Wedding: Exclusive – Arti Singh to marry Dipak Chauhan on April 25; says it is an arranged marriage | – Times of India

Arti Singh is set to tie the knot with Dipak Chauhan, a businessman from Navi Mumbai, on April 25 in Mumbai. The pre-wedding ceremonies will include mehendi and haldi. Arti and Dipak were introduced through private matchmakers. The Waaris actress says, “It’s purely an arranged marriage. There was obviously a period of courtship where we wanted to get to know each other better and assess our compatibility.We first spoke on July 23 last year and met after his birthday (August 5). As things progressed, I decided to commit to this relationship in November. However, we didn’t move forward until both our families approved of our union. On January 1, Dipak proposed marriage to me with a ring at my guruji’s temple in Delhi and I said yes. I consider that moment as my engagement.”
Dipak complements her perfectly, being the yin to her yang. Arti calls him her calming influence. She shares, “There are usually inhibitions when meeting someone in an arranged marriage setup. However, I didn’t feel any when I met Dipak. Along the way, we have developed a strong friendship. He brings a calming influence into my life and serves as a grounding force. I feel blessed to have him in my life. What I appreciate most about our relationship is that I can truly be myself with him and even with his family, including his father and two sisters. I am glad I didn’t settle earlier. Sahi waqt par sab kuchh sahi ho raha hai, especially as I have gained a better understanding of relationships.”

What about their honeymoon? Arti tells us that they have been preoccupied with wedding preparations, leaving them with no time to plan a honeymoon. “We are discussing it, but nothing concrete. My priority is to visit a temple after our wedding. I am excited about setting up our new home; that’s more important for me than the honeymoon,” she adds, smiling.
Has the actress heard from her maternal uncle, Govinda, since the news of her marriage surfaced? “Yes, I informed Chi Chi mama about my wedding, and he was happy for me. I hope they (Govinda and his family) bless me at the wedding. In fact, I am certain they will attend because they love me,” she replies.
