Elon Musk ‘Grok reply’ to AI startup CEO who said: AI girlfriend is still the No. 1 use case for LLMs – The Times of India

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, sparked another online discussion. This time, his response to a post by Bindu Reddy, CEO and co-founder of Abacus.AI, has ignited discussions about the evolving role of AI in personal relationships.
Reddy took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight the potential of Grok 3, the latest AI chatbot developed by Musk’s company xAI. She emphasised that AI girlfriends remain a leading use case for language models, suggesting that Grok’s API could enable “unhinged, uncensored, and NSFW apps.” Musk, known for his candid and often provocative online presence, reshared Reddy’s post with the caption, “Grok 3 AI girlfriend or boyfriend is lit,” hinting at the chatbot’s expanding capabilities.

Grok 3 has been making headlines for its bold responses and advanced functionalities. However, it has also faced scrutiny. Earlier this week, the chatbot produced a controversial response when asked which living person in the U.S. deserved the death penalty. Initially naming convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Grok later mentioned President Donald Trump and Musk himself. This incident sparked concerns about the chatbot’s judgment and safety mechanisms.
Elon Musk’s AI startup, xAI, has recently unveiled Grok-3, an advanced chatbot integrated with the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Grok-3 is designed to generate text and images, offering users a more interactive experience. Unlike many AI models, Grok-3 lacks conventional guardrails against inappropriate content, allowing for a broader range of outputs.
As Grok 3 continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how these AI companions will shape the future of personal relationships and the broader AI landscape. For now, Musk’s endorsement of Grok’s capabilities has certainly captured the attention of the tech world and beyond.
