For those not in the know, Kangana had said, “Once Javed Akhtar called me to his house and told me Rakesh Roshan (Hrithik’s father ) and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go. They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction… you will commit suicide. These were his words. He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house.” Thus, Akhtar filed a defamation case against her.
Kangana later filed a counter-complaint in the same court against Akhtar, accusing him of “extortion and criminal intimidation.” In her complaint, Ranaut alleged that after her public dispute with a co-star, the lyricist summoned her and her sister, Rangoli Chandel, to his residence with “malafide intentions and ulterior motives,” where he allegedly threatened and intimidated her.
Kangana has recently turned director as her film ‘Emergency’ released in January which saw her essay the role of Indira Gandhi.
