The game is going to be special for the Phillies, as fans’ are going to be all eyes on Jesús Luzardo. Luzardo, who has been battling with the injuries, would be looking forward to giving a great show to the fans.

Jesús Luzardo to use full potential against Orioles

The Philadelphia Phillies would be looking forward to facing the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, with all eyes of fans on Jesús Luzardo. Luzardo started the Spring Training with injury concerns. However, he has been performing and feeling better than ever.
Thus, fans would get to see him showcase his still and full abilities on the field. Jesús Luzardo spoke to the media about his health on Friday and revealed feeling healthy and back. Opening up about his health status ahead of the Orioles clash, Luzardo said:
“Usually, I have a little bit of anxiety before every start. This was a little more of excitement, just looking forward to getting out there and lacing up again and facing another jersey. So today felt more excitement, and felt really good.”
“It definitely feels like I’m back and healthy. And it’s not forced; it’s not overexerting myself. It’s just more free and easy, working down the mountain. The arm just feels alive again,” Luzardo further added.
Jesús Luzardo was drafted into the league in the 2016 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals and got the chance to make his MLB debut in September 2019 with the Oakland Athletics when the team signed him. Luzardo stayed with the team till 2021 before the Miami Marlins signed him, and remained with the team since 2024.
In December 2024, the Philadelphia Phillies traded Jesús Luzardo in exchange for Emaarion Boyd and Starlyn Caba. The Phillies signed Luzardo for one free, on a $21.05 contract. The contract came with a signing bonus of $3.05 Million and a guaranteed money of $21.05 Million.
