NEW DELHI: Astrologer Greenstone Lobo has made a bold prediction ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final, stating that Rohit Sharma’s team will defeat New Zealand and lift the prestigious trophy on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium.
India remain the only unbeaten side in the eight-team tournament and are now just one win away from the title as they gear up to face New Zealand in the final.
After securing three consecutive victories in the group stage to top Group A, India triumphed over Australia in the semifinals, extending their winning streak to four matches and securing a spot in the final.
Lobo predicts that Rohit, who led India to the 2024 T20 World Cup triumph, is on the verge of adding another ICC trophy to his illustrious career.
“Is India going to win the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy against New Zealand in the final? That is what we will discuss astrologically in this video. I have studied Rohit Sharma’s chart, and I can confidently say that after MS Dhoni, if any great player was born anywhere in the world, it is Rohit Sharma. He has a phenomenal horoscope. Uranus is at 29 degrees, Neptune at 15 degrees—both in deep exaltation. I also use asteroids in my calculations, such as Planet X and Planet Z, which are extremely powerfully placed in his chart. This indicates he was destined for greatness. Importantly, Uranus is exalted in the 7th House at 29 degrees, which makes him a great captain capable of winning major tournaments,” Lobo told TimesofIndia.com.
“However, the problem in the 2023 World Cup was that despite having a phenomenal horoscope, Rohit Sharma could not win because he had diluted his karmic quota. A person can only win as much as they are destined to. He had already used a significant portion of his karmic quota by winning five IPL titles as a captain. If he had won them as a player, it would have been different, but winning as a captain meant he had exhausted a significant portion of his quota. That is why he could not win the World Cup, which is the pinnacle of glory for a captain.
“That said, his horoscope still indicates he can win two smaller tournaments compared to the World Cup. The Champions Trophy is one such tournament, and he definitely has what it takes to win it. I have always said that Rohit Sharma’s horoscope is similar to Lionel Messi’s in football. Both were born in the same year and have similar planetary alignments. Messi won the World Cup as a captain because he had not won anything as a captain for Barcelona. Similarly, Messi also won two Copa America titles. When you analyze this astrologically, you can see that Rohit Sharma still has a significant karmic quota left. He has already won the T20 World Cup, and his horoscope is powerful enough to win another ICC tournament. Compared to the 50-over World Cup, the Champions Trophy is of lesser significance, but he still has the planetary strength to win it.
“Now, let’s look at India’s opposition, New Zealand. If we analyze Rohit Sharma’s chart, there is one weakness—a debilitated Pluto. A weak Pluto in a horoscope can create obstacles at crucial moments. In the 2023 World Cup, he lost to Pat Cummins, who had a stronger Pluto. Similarly, Rohit Sharma has suffered major defeats against New Zealand in the past. For example, New Zealand came to India and won a Test series 3-0, a humiliating defeat. The same team also defeated India in the ICC World Test Championship final. This suggests that New Zealand, as a team, has already benefited from strong planetary influences, particularly Pluto. However, despite having Mitchell Santner, who was born in 1992 with a strong Neptune and Pluto, he has already exhausted much of his karmic quota in previous victories against India.
“If we analyse the coaches, New Zealand’s coach, born in 1972, led the team to victory against India in a Test series in India, which was a huge achievement. He has already used a significant portion of his karmic quota. On the other hand, India’s coach, Gautam Gambhir, born in 1981, brings fresh karmic energy. Under Rahul Dravid, India won the T20 World Cup, but now, with Gambhir as coach, his karmic quota will come into play.
“Looking at team composition, India has an advantage. We have five key players—KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer—born between 1992 and 1994, with Neptune in deep exaltation and Pluto at zero degrees. Meanwhile, New Zealand has six players born between 1991 and 1992 with a weak Planet X in their horoscopes. They also lack players born in 1997, while India has a few, including Shubman Gill.
“Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, born in 1986 and 1987, have Neptune and Uranus in their strongest positions. In contrast, New Zealand does not have any players born in the 1980s with similar planetary strength. This means that for every New Zealand player, India has a counterpart with a stronger horoscope. All signs point to India winning the Champions Trophy under Rohit Sharma’s leadership. His horoscope was powerful enough to win the 50-over World Cup, but since he missed that opportunity, karma and planetary alignment will compensate by granting him two ICC trophies. He has already won one (the T20 World Cup), and now, he is destined to win the Champions Trophy.
“As the saying goes ‘Waqt bhi aa gya hai aur kismat bhi hamare saath hai’. India and Rohit Sharma—both are going to win the Champions Trophy!,” Lobo signed off.
