NEW DELHI: The Delhi government issued an order on Saturday regarding dry days in the national capital in view of upcoming elections and festivals.
In view of the Lok Sabha elections in the parts of Uttar Pradesh connected to Delhi, the dry days will be observed from 6pm, April 24 till 6pm, April 26 within a 100-meter distance from Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar districts of Uttar Pradesh border in the NCT of Delhi.
“The licensees shall not be entitled to any compensation on account of any changes effected in the above list. All the licensees shall exhibit this. order at some conspicuous place of their licensed premises. The business premises of a licensee shall be kept closed on dry day,” said Delhi’s Excise department in the order.
The capital city will also observe dry days on Id-ul-Fitr on April 11, Ram Navami on April 17, Mahavir Jayanti on April 21, Buddha Purnima on May 23, and Bakrid on June 17.
