NEW DELHI: The newly-appointed skipper of the Mumbai Indians Hardik Pandya appears to be in a contented state now. His return to Mumbai Indians as captain, taking over from the five-time IPL-winning captain Rohit Sharma, did not sit well with fans as he faced constant booing during the first three games.
The three losses to start the season added to the woes and Pandya found himself under intense scrutiny.
However, a significant turnaround came on Sunday with a victory against the Delhi Capitals, marking their first win of the season, thereby boosting Pandya’s confidence.

However, a significant turnaround came on Sunday with a victory against the Delhi Capitals, marking their first win of the season, thereby boosting Pandya’s confidence.
Following his team’s first win, Pandya was seen singing ‘Hare Rama, Hare Krishna’ in a video shared by his brother Krunal Pandya. Earlier, he had performed pooja at Somnath Temple ahead of the Delhi Capitals match.
Krunal took to his social media platform to share the video, captioning it with ‘Grateful’.
The video also garnered the attention of the Mumbai Indians opener Ishan Kishan who also commented on Krunal’s post.
‘Missed it,’ said Ishan.
Mumbai Indians, who are eighth in the points table with one win and 3 defeats in 4 matches, will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
