Virat Kohli never misses a chance to engage with his fans at venues across the world. On Monday, Pallekele witnessed the same when Kohli delighted the crowd by dancing to the tune of famous Nepalese song during the rain-hit India vs Nepal Group A match in the Asia Cup.
India got the much-needed 10-wicket win (DLS method) while chasing the revised target of 145 to book a place in the ‘Super 4’ stage of the tournament.

The game, however, didn’t start on the same happy note for Kohli personally as he dropped an easy catch in just the second over of the match, which gave batter Aasif Sheikh a repreive. However, the batting maestro redeemed himself with a one-handed catch later in the game to get rid of Sheikh in the 30th over.
India dropped two other chances early on in the match, which allowed Nepal to settle and reach a total in excess of 200.
Nepal were bowled out for 230, after which rain stopped play and India were given a revised target that openers Rohit Sharma (74 not out) and Shubman Gill (67 not out) overhauled with ease.
