Taking to X, Ojha wrote, “Cheete Ki Chaal, Baaz Ki Nazar, Aur #Rohirat Ke batsmanship Par Sandeh Nahi Karte….! (The gait of a cheetah, the vision of a hawk, and the batting skills of Rohit & Virat are never doubted.) “
Previously, ex-Indian opener Virender Sehwag expressed his concerns regarding Rohit Sharma’s batting approach, specifically focusing on his dismissals.
“You could be Rohit Sharma or Suryakumar Yadav, but at least respect the delivery if you can’t respect the bowler. The ball on which Rohit Sharma got out wasn’t a weak ball. No doubt Rohit and Suryakumar are great players, but that doesn’t mean you should hit the good deliveries, too,” Sehwag told Cricbuzz.
In the ongoing IPL season, Rohit, who amassed 19 off 24 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders, has struggled to score consistently, with the current captain of the Indian men’s T20 World Cup team garnering 349 runs from 13 matches.
Rohit’s struggles for runs in the IPL is nothing new as the right-handed batsman has only surpassed the 400-run mark once in his last seven IPL seasons.
On Saturday, KKR secured a victory against Mumbai Indians in a rain-affected match at Eden Gardens, dealing another blow to MI’s campaign in IPL 2024.
