NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday unveiled “Kejriwal ki Guarantee,” a list of 10 priority tasks that will be undertaken on a war-footing if the INDIA bloc comes to power at the Centre.
The INDIA bloc, comprising parties such as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress, Trinamool Congress, and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, among others, was established to challenge the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Following his release from jail on interim bail on Saturday, Kejriwal expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc will form the next government, with AAP being a part of it.
During a press conference on Sunday, the AAP leader emphasized that the public will have to choose between “Modi ki Guarantee” and “Kejriwal ki guarantee,” asserting that the latter has become a “brand” in itself.

Here are the 10 guarantees promised by Arvind Kejriwal:
- “Out of the 10 guarantees, our first guarantee is 24/7 electricity nationwide. With our surplus capacity to generate 3 lakh MW against a demand of 2 lakh MW, we’ve proven it in Delhi and Punjab. We commit to extending free electricity up to 200 units for the poor across India, costing Rs 1.25 lakh crore.”
- “Our second guarantee is that we will arrange good and excellent free education for everyone. Government schools will provide a better education than private schools. We have done it in Delhi and Punjab. Rs 5 lakh crores will be required for this. State governments will give Rs 2.5 lakh crores and central government will give Rs 2.5 crore for this.”
- “Presently, our country’s government hospitals are in dire straits. Our third guarantee is to revolutionise healthcare. We’ll ensure quality treatment for all, establishing Mohalla clinics in every village and locality, upgrading district hospitals to multi-speciality hospitals. Every citizen will receive free treatment, without the complications of insurance, which often leads to scams. We’ll invest Rs 5 lakh crore in healthcare infrastructure.”
- “Our fourth guarantee is ‘Nation first’. China has occupied our land but our central govt is denying it…There is a lot of strength in our army. All the land of the country which has been occupied by China will be freed. For this, efforts will be made at the diplomatic level on one side and the Army will be given complete freedom to take whatever steps it wants to take regarding this…A scheme like Agniveer is harmful for the army and the youth are also troubled by it. The Agniveer scheme will be withdrawn.”
- Efforts will be undertaken diplomatically while granting the military full autonomy to take necessary actions. Schemes like Agniveer, deemed detrimental to both the army and the youth, will be discontinued.
- “Our sixth guarantee is for farmers. You can give a life of dignity to the farmers, if you are paying them full prices for their crops. Based on Swaminathan report, farmers will be provided full prices for their crops based on MSP.”
- “Our seventh guarantee is that Delhi will be granted statehood, a right long overdue for the people of Delhi for many decades.”
- “Our eighth guarantee focuses on tackling unemployment head-on. We are committed to generating 20 million job opportunities within the coming year, effectively working towards eliminating unemployment.”
- “Our ninth guarantee aims to eradicate corruption, which remains an important issue in our country. The BJP’s “washing machine” stands out as a prime example of corruption, and we are determined to address and eliminate it.”
- “We promise to ease the GST process by removing it from PMLA and simplifying its structure.”
