NEW DELHI: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday clarified his party’s stance regarding the formation of the upcoming Union government in India. In a press briefing, he expressed his firm support for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which is at its lowest point in the last 15 years.
Chandrababu Naidu said, “You always want news. I am experienced and I have seen several political changes in this country.We are in the NDA, and I’m going to the NDA meeting.”
As the 2024 Lok Sabha election results unfolded on Tuesday, both prominent blocs were in a close contest during the initial trends. By the afternoon, the numbers became more certain. By the end of vote counting, the NDA secured a total of 292 seats, while the INDIA bloc finished with 232 seats.
The TDP’s stance has become crucial at this moment, as both blocs have exceeded poll predictions and the expectations of numerous political analysts and psephologists.

The possibility of a pivotal role for the TDP arises due to the narrow gap between the projected numbers for the NDA and the INDIA bloc.
Trends at 10 PM indicate that the NDA is likely to secure around 20 seats over the majority mark of 272 seats. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-United and Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party can together contribute an additional 28 seats to the tally.
Earlier, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude to the people for the overwhelming mandate given to the NDA in Andhra Pradesh. In a social media post on Tuesday night, Naidu also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders Amit Shah and JP Nadda for their commitment to Andhra Pradesh‘s future.
