Kangana Ranaut ‘slap’ controversy: Haryana farmers to honor CISF cop after her release | India News – Times of India



JIND: Farmers held a meeting in Uchana Kalan of Jind district where they announced to honor Kulwinder Kaur who allegedly slapped actress turned politician Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport. Farmers gathered at tehsil premises of Uchana Kalan town and passed a resolution to welcome the suspended CISF cop at this site. They said that ‘sherdil beti’ (brave heart daughter) did a commendable job as this slap echoed in the world and gave a strong message to those who use abusive language and derogatory words to defame and community and religion in the nation for their vested interest.
Talking to media persons, Azad Palwan, a Jind based farmer unionist said that ‘kranti ka agaaj ho chuka hai’ (revolution has started).Everyone was silent when wrestler daughters were dragged at Jantar mantar who were seeking justice against sexual harassment. Former WFI chief and BJP leader had sexually assaulted wrestlers but all were silent. Lakhs of women nationwide took part in the 2020-21 protest which lasted for 13 months but no one dared to speak even a single word in favor of them but Kangana used derogatory words. Now the CISF official’s action is an outcome of anger due to the statements of the actress. Now it’s a clear message for all political leaders that they should not use any unparliamentary language or words for any community or religions else they will face the same fate in future as people have started a revolution in the nation which can’t be stopped now, he added.
Sikkim Nain Sheokand, a woman activist, stated that all kept silent over the deaths of 750 farmers. This is the reaction of pain and humiliation suffered by the farming community. Kangana Ranaut who gave a statement that farmers were sitting in protest for Rs 100, now she has become a zero after the slap statement. Now all leaders should refrain from giving hate speech against any community or religion in future, she added.
