PM Modi, PMO’s X accounts refreshed for third term: New DP and cover image signal renewed era | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: In a symbolic gesture marking the beginning of his third term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revamped his social media presence on X (formerly Twitter). He changed the profile and header photo depicting the key moment from his political journey.
PM Modi‘s personal X account now features images from his first day in office and the recent swearing-in ceremony of his government, while the official Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) account showcases a photo of him bowing to the Constitution of India.

These changes come on the heels of PM Modi’s call for supporters to remove the ‘Modi Ka Parivar‘ suffix from their social media handles, a campaign initiated during the election.
In March, BJP members and supporters began using ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ (Modi’s family) in their social media handles after opposition leader Lalu Prasad Yadav criticized Modi for lacking a traditional family.
PM Modi responded that the people of India were his family, a sentiment that resonated deeply with his supporters. This show of solidarity was meant to counter Yadav’s remarks and reinforce Modi’s connection with the public.
Following the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) unprecedented third consecutive electoral victory, PM Modi addressed his supporters on X, expressing his gratitude and encouraging them to retire the ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ moniker.
