Travis Head (68 off 49 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (59 off 29 balls) led the Australian chase with impressive half-centuries.

AS IT HAPPENED
The result also confirmed England‘s progression to the Super Eights phase alongside Australia from Group B.
Scotland’s innings was propelled by Brandon Mc Mullen’s aggressive 60 off 34 balls and his 89-run second-wicket partnership with opener George Munsey (35).
However, Australia managed to regain control after McMullen’s dismissal to leg-spinner Adam Zampa in the 12th over. Despite skipper Richie Berrington’s unbeaten 42, Scotland could only manage 69 runs off the last 52 balls, falling short of a total close to 200.
Glenn Maxwell’s off-spin earned him figures of 2 for 44, while Zampa was the most economical, conceding just 30 runs off his four overs.
Australia, known for their excellent fielding and catching, had an uncharacteristic performance, dropping six possible chances in the match.
