Helios to increase revenue share of premium Swiss watches by 10 pc – ET Retail

Helios, a premium watch retailer from Titan Company Ltd., plans to increase the revenue share of premium Swiss watches from 25 per cent to 35 per cent by this fiscal end, Suparna Mitra, CEO – watches and wearables division, Titan Company Ltd. told ETRetail.

The brand, which offers 10 premium brands like Swarovski, Victorinox, Movado, Frederique Constant, Versace, Tissot, Balmain, and Xylys, has recently expanded its portfolio further by introducing Charriol, Swiss luxury watchmaker to the Indian market through an exclusive partnership. It will be offering 50 SKUs initially.

“For us, one lever of growth is the expansion of brands, and the other lever of growth is the expansion of stores and giving consumers a wider choice,” she said.

“So, going ahead, we will be launching 4 more premium brands this fiscal along with taking our store count up by 40 to 280 stores,” she further added.

Helios as a chain grew around 34 per cent last fiscal, but Swiss brands grew by almost double.

Explaining it further, she said, “The growing appetite for luxury products in India, driven by urbanization, higher disposable incomes, and rapidly expanding middle and upper-middle class has driven Helios into a journey of premiumization.”

At present, male to female sales contribution at Helios stands at 70 per cent and 30 per cent, respectively.
