NEW DELHI: Amid the ongoing war with Hamas, Israel security force, Shin Bet has established a new unit to track down every suspect involved in the brutal attack on October 7, which resulted in 1,400 Israeli lives.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the new unit named Nili is an acronym ii Hebrew for “The eternity of Israel will not lie.”
This unit is dedicated to track and eliminate every individual who played a role in the massacre in the western Negev settlements two weeks ago.
The force is specifically set up to target members of a special commando unit within Hamas’s military wing Nukhba who entered Israel, killed several in various villages and IDF outposts, and then returned to Gaza Strip, The Jerusalem Post reported.
According to the report, this new unit will function independently from other Command and Control units that are focused on neutralizing strike cells and most-wanted terrorists.
For this this distinct mission, the force includes both field operatives and intelligence personnel.
It is notable that the key player in the attack on the border area, Ali Qadhi, a commander within the Hamas Nukhba force, was eliminated last Saturday. Another leading figure within Hamas, Billal Al Kedra was killed by the Israeli forces the following day
