NEW DELHI: KL Rahul must be feeling the disappointment of missing the flight to the 2024 T20 World Cup. The dashing right-hander had an impressive ODI World Cup last year, scoring 452 runs in 11 matches at an average of 75.33, including one century and two fifties. Despite his performance, he failed to make the India squad for the T20 World Cup, which was won by Rohit Sharma-led Team India.
KL Rahul’s name wasn’t even considered for the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, which India won 4-1 under Shubman Gill’s captaincy.
However, the selectors have included KL Rahul for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting August 2 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
On Friday, KL Rahul took to social media and posted a workout video with a two-word message: “More soon.”
