At least five people were shot dead by an assailant in a nursing home in Daruvar, a city east of Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, Reuters reported quoting local media.
The Shooter was allegedly a “war veteran” and took the lives of his own mother, as well as, other individuals and staff at the center, Croatian newspaper Jutarnji reported.
“A man entered the nursing home and began shooting,” Croatia’s HINA news agency said.
The attacker was arrested by the police after initially fleeing from the scene, HINA reported.
