This is the penultimate SmackDown before the superstars of WWE collide at the biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam 2024. There are a lot of storylines that the promotion is brewing right now, and it could all culminate in a grand showing of them all on August 4 at the premium live event.
This week’s Smackdown was pretaped at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on 7/19 because the show is currently on the road and is headed to the ‘SuperShow Summer Tour’ visits Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan on Friday and Saturday night.
Here’s everything that you can expect from the event this week.

WWE SmackDown July 26 match card

This week’s SmackDown will have three matches plus a few segments involving some of the most prominent wrestlers in the promotion right now.
LA Knight vs Santos Escobar
LA Knight and Santos Escobar have been feuding for months at this point. Although Knight has a few wins over Escobar already, they’ll be colliding once again to settle their disputes after the two engaged in verbal battle last week.
Bayley & Michin vs. Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are what one would say a case of unlikely alliances which came up right before Money in the Bank 2024. On the other hand, Bayley and Michin appear to be helping each other out as well. These four superstars will collide for the first time in a tag-team match on SmackDown so expect some amazing spots during the match.
Tag team gauntlet match on WWE SmackDown
Six teams will go head to head but only one of them will come out victorious and will receive a shot at the tag-team gold. It will be the Street Profits versus The Bloodline versus Legado del Fantasma versus Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin versus Pretty Deadly versus The O.C as they each want to go head to head with DIY, the current SmackDown tag champs.
While this is the match card for the evening, there’s also a segment where DIY will be hosting a segment with Terrence Crawford. This will be an interesting segment because Crawford handed Cody Rhodes a chair last week, with which he beat up DIY, so expect some physicality in this bout too.
Overall, this week’s SmackDown is filled with some interesting matches and segments, so be prepared to see some high flying action.
