2 charged under anti-conversion law, held in UP | India News – Times of India



LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh police arrested Wednesday two men after charging them under the state’s anti-conversion law for allegedly offering a villager in Ambedkar Nagar and his friends Rs 10,000 each and promising to build them houses if they converted to Christianity.
Police said the accused G Raju and Ram Avadh Nishad were taken into custody following a complaint from a man named Alok Chaurasia, who alleged that the duo made the offer Tuesday evening to him and his friends.
