The space X chief was responding to a user who posted a video of the Venezuelan president with the security forces, claiming that he had instructed his security forces to “keep Elon Musk out at all costs.”
The war of words between Musk and Maduro erupted after the SpaceX chief accused the socialist leader of “major election fraud,” as both Maduro and his opponent claimed victory in the recently concluded Venezuelan presidential election.
Meanwhile, the socialist leader has accused Musk of being behind “attacks against Venezuela” and possibly the mastermind of an alleged “computer hacking” at the National Electoral Council (CNE), which concluded Maduro as the winner.
Following Musk’s public clashes against him, Maduro responded by saying, “Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk, do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready. I’m not afraid of you Elon Musk. Let’s fight, wherever you want”. To which, Musk on X replied that someone should “tell Maduro I’ll fight him anytime, anywhere.” “In fact, tell him to bring his favourite donkey too,” the billonaire added.
The online spat between Musk and Maduro led to a flurry of reactions. While replying to one of the posts, Musk said, “Maduro is a big guy himself and probably knows how to fight, so this would be a real fight. Zuck is a little fella, so that would be a short fight, lol.”
“If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars,” Musk said.
After Venezuela’s election results were declared, Musk made his disapproval public while referring to the socialist leader as a “dictator” and calling the polls a “travesty.”
