“So you hailed a model of Bangladesh that failed in just 4 years & ended up making a more sustainable Bharatiya model look bad? Either you are stupid or you did it because you have an axe to grind with Modi or both? You do a youtube video & explain that to your dumb followers,” wrote Poonawalla.

Rathee made the video in 2020 focusing on the economic and social advancements of Bangladesh. He praised the country’s strides in improving education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment, contrasting it with common negative stereotypes. The video, titled “The Real Bangladesh: A Peaceful and Progressive Nation,” had not garnered as significant attention at the time it was posted as it has now.
Dhurv Rathee’s response to his video going viral
Rathee responded to Poonawalla’s tweet by explaining that the video was created four years ago and provided an accurate portrayal of Bangladesh’s situation at that point in time.
“This is a 4 year old video. Everything said in this video was accurate back then based on the latest data. You are only proving your own stupidity by sharing it out of context and trying to mislead your followers,” wrote Rathee.
The situation in Bangladesh remains tense, with over 300 people losing their lives in the rioting.
