Zomato CEO thanks BigBasket for the idea
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal took to microblogging site X (formeryl Twitter) to announce the same.
“Starting today, our customers can pay delivery partners in cash, and ask for the balance amount to be added instantly to their Zomato Money account,” he said.
In the post, he also thanked Tata Group-owned online grocery platform BigBasket for the inspiration. “Thank you @bigbasket_com for the inspiration for this solution,” he wrote adding “our delivery partners (three of them are working as product managers with us) for insisting that we develop this asap”.
