BHOPAL: Three sisters, aged between 6 and 9 years, drowned in a shallow water pit in the backyard of their house while immersing an ‘idol’ they had made on Nag Panchami in Rewa district on Friday. Sonali, 9, Tanvi, 7, and Jahnvi, 6, daughters of Rajkumar Rajak, had not told their parents that they were going to immerse the idol, or they would have surely stopped them, sarpanch of Tamara village, Pankaj Singh, told TOI.
