NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a phone from Bangladesh government’s interim head Muhammad Yunus who assured the safety of Bangladesh Hindus and other minorities in the violence hit nation.
“Received a telephone call from Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh. Exchanged views on the prevailing situation.Reiterated India’s support for a democratic, stable, peaceful and progressive Bangladesh. He assured protection, safety and security of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh,” said PM Modi in a post on X.
