Netizens were shocked to see a false report claiming that Shreyas Talpade, who had a heart attack in December last year, had passed away on Monday afternoon. The actor has now responded strongly to the death hoax and urged people to stop spreading such harmful rumours.
In a heartfelt post, Shreyas assured everyone that he is alive, happy and healthy.He expressed his disappointment over the viral false news, stressing that while humour is important, misusing it can cause real harm. He noted that what might have started as a joke is now causing unnecessary worry and distress, particularly for his family.
“Dear All, I want to assure everyone that I am ALIVE, HAPPY, and HEALTHY. I’ve become aware of a viral post claiming m demise. While I understand that humor has its place, when it’s misused, it can cause real harm. What may have started as a joke by someone, is now creating unnecessary worry and playing with the emotions of those who care about me, especially my family,” read his statement.
Talpade further talked about the impact on his young daughter, who is already anxious about his health. The false news has intensified her fears and led to difficult questions from her peers and teachers. He urged those spreading such rumours to think about the emotional toll it takes on families, especially children who may not fully understand the situation.

“My little daughter, who goes to school every day, is already anxious about my well-being, constantly asking questions and seeking reassurance. This false news only deepens her < > fears, forcing her to confront more questions from her peers and teachers, stirring up emotions that we’ve been trying to manage as a family.
To those pushing this content further, I ask you to pause and consider the impact. Many people have genuinely prayed for my well-being, and it’s disheartening to see humor used in a way that can hurt sentiments, cause distress to my loved nes, and disrupt our lives. When you sprea such rumors, it doesn’t just affect the person targeted-it also affects their family, especially young children who might not fully understand the situation but feel the emotional toll nonetheless,” he said.

He thanked everyone who has shown concern and love, and made a plea to the trolls to stop spreading such hurtful content. Talpade urged people to be sensitive and not to chase engagement and likes at the expense of others’ feelings.
